Today was a gorgeous fall day - 70 and sunny. Everyone was out in force. It was one of those days you just have to get out and soak up the sun. In the morning, Miles and I met Jennifer and her daughter Kaela. We walked to a little playground, and the kids played baseball and rode the little merry-go-round. We headed home around 11:30, so we could pick up Eliot from school. Afterwards, we had lunch with Jim and then went to get Dutch passport photos for our visa application. Success - no smiles and ears showing for all 4 of us!

Karintha had called to see if we wanted to do something outside, so we met her and Fina at the Westerhonk playground. It was totally crowded: kids everywhere on the playground and parents filling all the benches and in chairs drinking coffee. Everyone was soaking in the last rays of sunshine. The boys had the most fun in the zandbak digging deep holes and making hills. They joined Fina in the basket swing before we left.
