Saturday we headed out to do some shopping errands. Eliot wanted to ride his bike, so we took Miles in the stroller. We checked out the local hardware store. The Saturday market was bustling with people. The variety of fruits and veggies available is impressive, so we stocked up on strawberries, blueberries, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach, and limes. We got some more cheese and went in a new butcher shop. One veggie vendor had big pumpkins for cooking [the Dutch don't celebrate halloween], so we picked one out for our halloween party next week. Eliot thought that it was "the biggest pumpkin he's ever seen." It is pretty big (9 kilos)!
When we finished up at the Brabantse Turfmarkt, we headed down the Molslaan. Miles and I stopped for a picture of the swan family. Last weekend we saw the 2 parents chasing off one of the gray ones (I assume it was one of the babies). Today, we just saw 5 "babies" which are clearly grown up, with the parents. We walked over to Hema for a lasagna pan and to the C1000 for groceries. Then it was off to home.
