I left Miles at home with Jim to take Eliot to school and pick him up. I got there early and captured a few pictures around the school yard: Freinetschool building, the earth, and a cute gnome in an autumn-painted window on one classroom. The earth is interesting because it is focused on Europe, Asia, and Africa (which makes sense), rather than our typical view of the Amercas. When Miles saw the earth picture, he said "Eli school." It's amazing what a 2-year old picks up! Eliot had a nice morning at school. There's no school next week because it is herfsvakantie (autumn vacation). We said good-bye to Lucien and headed home. We saw this odd boat on a barge on our way home. Jim said that he has seen this vessel pushing small barges around. We spent the afternoon just hanging out.

For dinner, we went to an Italian place we discovered a couple of weeks ago. It was good, but Miles still wasn't doing well, so we took turns walking him around outside. He just didn't want to sit still at the table. Afterwards, we got bagels to bake at home for breakfast and went home. Jim took a detour to rent a few movies at the video store.
