The day was lovely. I felt guilty about not taking advantage of the nice weather on Monday, so after lunch we went to a new playground which is only open in the afternoons.
Gina had told me about this playground months ago. When we were out on Sunday, we looked through the fence and saw that it looked liked fun. It did not disappoint us.

When we arrived at the yard, a school class was there for their end-of-day recess. The class left after about 20 minutes, then we had the playground to ourselves plus one set of year-old twins. The playground had a big sandbox with lots of toys, 2 teeter-totters, a playstructure, a spinning cup, a slide, and swings. One really cool thing was they had a shed full of vehicles, only for little kids (rather than grade schoolers). The boys tried out a couple of vehicles, including a go cart. Eliot most enjoyed the
blue "Ford" tractor and trailer. Miles liked walking (rather than pedaling) the
pink tricycle. It's great to have a chance to ride freely and give Miles some time on a tricycle. That's hard to do in town on the narrow, cobble streets.

Jim made a trip to TU to get his sports card and called to see if we wanted to meet him at Kobus Kuch for an apple tart treat. We were leaving the playground anyway, so we headed off to the Beestenmarkt. Miles fell asleep at the table, so Jim walked his bike home carrying Miles. Eliot and I biked to the veggie store and the bagel shop before heading home. As we rode by the Oudekerk, we saw Marry, the teaching assitant, out on her green bike with gold tinsel on the handlebars. Fun stuff. We had a nice dinner and Jim headed off to play ultimate.
