Halloween Bags

Aunt Julie thought we needed a craft project, so she sent supplies to make halloween bags. I finished Miles' bag on Saturday. After our pancake breakfast on Sunday, Jim and Eliot finished the front side of his bag, based on the design they came up with Wednesday night. Eliot was quite excited and took a picture of his bag. "I kept taking a picture until I got a good one!" Miles points to the black and green spider on his bag in the fronts picture. The backs have more halloween characters - spider webs and pumpkins! Eliot's spider caught a big lavender moth in her "6" web.

It was supposed to be warm on Sunday, so we thought it would be fun to go on a bike ride and have a picnic. We bought sandwiches. By the time we were out on the bikes, we realized it was quite cold out. We opted to go to a park in Delft. We played a little baseball and soccer before convincing the boys that it was too cold to be outside. The "plenty of sun" day never materialized!
