After having walked nearly 10 km yesterday, we decided to figure out the metro and bus system too! We took the bus to the Place de la Concorde. It was raining, so we decided to hop a bus up the Avenue des Champs Elysees. We got off a few stops from the top at the Arc de Triomphe Etoile, once we realized that motor traffic was moving slower than the people. We bought our Eiffel Tower keychains up here by the Arc - you just have to have one!

From here, we got a good view of the Champs Elysees down to the Place de la Concorde. When you are here, you realize how much of a climb it is - the end of the Tour de France must be fun! I thought it would be fun to walk down the street a bit to enjoy the scene - sidewalk cafes, automobile showrooms, cinemas, and designer stores. It is quite a scene. The designer stores had great window displays to keep you entertained along the way - including the Louis Vuitton store.

We went into the Toyota showroom, which was totally cool. Upstairs was dedicted to Formula 1 racing including a F1 race car and its mock pit crew. The boys enjoyed riding around a small Toyota race car and watching people play a reflexes game. Downstairs they had models of their new Urban Cruiser and this blue-and-yellow Aygo car. Check out the cool seats and wood platform for the trunk. It had a really great design.
