After seeing the Eiffel Tower up close, we ventured back down the Champs de Mars to find the playgrounds we had seen earlier. First - time for a snack - French fries! The boys ate while they played on a small playground right near the tower. This was the view from the first playground. Jim's meeting ended about 12:15, but he had to get back to the hotel and follow up on some things.

We moved down to the big playgrounds. We tried out the castle playground first but it was crowded with a bigger kids group. After a mishap with Miles and a ladder, we moved across the path to another playground. The boys played train with a nice boy from England. Eliot liked the big kids climbing structure. Miles did laps on his structure, though Miles needed help getting up this hill - it was very slippery. The playground was nice and had a mixture of local kids and tourists. After awhile we moved back to the castle playground with a pink stagecoach and dragon teeter totter (see saw). By 2, I realized we needed to find a place for lunch. We ate at a pub that was probably nicer than necessary for me by myself with 2 little ones. We and the restaurant survived and we headed back to the tower area.
