Paris - We arrived about 9 pm, unloaded and walked to the Metro tracks. We took line 4 to the Montparnasse stop near our hotel. The Metro station is connected to the train and light rail station, so it was huge. We had to walk for nearly 30 minutes up stairs and down stairs to get to the exit closest to our hotel. It's pretty challenging getting to the different levels within the train and metro stations with a stroller. There are very few escalators, so it's lifting the stroller up and down and having Eliot walk.

We took our 2 roller bags, 2 carry-ons, bumble bee backpack and stroller out onto the streets of Paris. We found a map and followed it's lead to our hotel. Along the way, we saw a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, through buildings and trees, sparkling with flashing lights. It was beautiful. It must have been around 10:00 pm (we later learned it only sparkles on the hour).

We checked into the Novohotel -
room 405. The lobby had several people hanging out in the orange, purple and red contemporary bar area. The room was nice - contemporary and efficient, not big but well laid out and clean. The sink was really cool with storage shelves below. The couch had pull out beds, the desk top was on a roller to accomate 2 people, and the tray was a great stool for the boys. The room was air conditioned - this was the first AC we've really experienced since moving here. It was nice and cold.
The boys ran around the room going complete crazy at 11 pm. They were switching lights on and off, checking out the water in the sink and tub, and every button they could press. Eliot thought the room was "small but clever desing." Finally, I think our lights went out at 11:45.
