After resting a bit, we took our first tour via canal boat. We boarded the 3:00 boat for the 50-minute ride. The tour guide provided some commentary in English and German though the Dutch descriptions were clearly more in depth than what we heard! Miles was intently studying the architecture throughout the boat cruise! We traveled down the Wijnhaven (where wine was sold), along Voorstraat, through an amazing three point turn at the Kolk and Oude Delft corner, up the Oude Delft, out into de Kolk harbor, and back via Koorn Markt. Views along the canal at De Kolk: Barges at De Kolk, the vantage point for Vermeer's View of Delft, and Arsenal (now Legermuseum).
