Today was Jim's Birthday. In the morning, he opened his gifts - an art cube of Delftware designs and a magnet set (like Eliot's but yellow, not green) from the boys. After breakfast we went out for a little shopping. We discovered the Beestenmarkt had been converted into an ice rink for the next month. It looked like fun, but we weren't prepared for ice skating today.We opted to move our dinner out to Sunday and went for something simple at home. Eliot helped make the brownies. We had ice cream and brownies to celebrate the of end Jim's 36th year.
