Our First Youtube Video

After our Sunday pancake breakfast, the boys wanted to make a BIG marble run. Eliot had the
idea of using the track and starting on the table. We remembered that we have battery-powered Percy, so we tested out his ability to move marbles. Yep - that would work!
Eliot even got him to push 6 marbles. We spent about 2 hours setting up the track testing along the way. The first part of the course was a train track. After
Percy pushed the marble over the hill (shown here with a spider on his back), the marbles headed onto the
marble run. The marbles run down two ramps, around the corner, ringing the bell, down two more ramps, rolling onto the chair and ending up on the radiator. There we tried to setup a caterpillar pushing the marble off the end of the radiator - this was harder to get working consistently.

Our first try with the video worked beautifully, with one marble even switching track rails to get into the track that continued onto the marble run. It was perfect in the first shooting. Jim and Eliot worked on the editing and credits. Eliot even picked the song (obviously, I have influence on what he listens to). He's been singing
If I Had A Boat by Lyle Lovett all week, so that's what he chose. You can see our first youtube video at:
