DELFT

Though Miles had a bad night and was up every couple of hours, he seemed quite fine in the morning, so the gang headed to
Blijdorp - the Rotterdam zoo. Miles slept much of the time in the stroller. Eliot enjoyed seeing the animals and playing in
this reptile play area - hanging out in the dinosaur egg and riding a sea turtle. Eliot's favorite picture was this one of
him in the tortoise shell. Miles was starting to feel bad, so they headed back home a little

earlier than planned. Eliot said they couldn't find the tigers, but otherwise enjoyed the zoo.

By the time we called to check-in this evening, Miles' breathing was pretty labored and he sounded miserable. Mary started him on steroids and continued the breathing treatments. She was concerned enough that she called Gina to learn how to get to the hospital and how that system works. There wasn't much we could do tonight; we were heading home first thing in the morning.
