Grandpa took Eliot to and from school on Friday while we were gone. This week, the class began to study autumn: leaves, acorns, pumpkins, spin (spiders). Eliot continued on the ocean theme with his study of blue whales and brought home a third whale drawing. The first one is up top, and the second one has a big yellow eye. The third one is the largest of all and has a nice blowhole and a big red eye. It's really interesting to watch his progression over 3 days work. Really fun stuff!
While Eliot was at school, Grandma, Grandpa and Miles visited the Delftse Pauw pottery studio in northern Delft. Mary said it is a smaller studio than the Royal Delftware factory, but has really nice hand-painted pieces.
