Friday afternoon, Jim went out to try and sign up for a landline. We've been waiting to see our timing and decided to go ahead and get hooked up! While he did that, the boys and I took a trip to the post office to mail a package to the lawyer working on our permits. Afterwards, the boys and I went to Blokker - a housewares store - to look for mixing bowls and a few utensils. The boys each got small umbrellas - the weather is changing and we've already had a pretty wet August. About 4:30, we stopped to play on a sculpture and saw a pretty amateur (goofy) juggling comedian duo outside Oude Kerk. The boys enjoyed it. The juggling was quite good, just not the comedy!
We picked Jim up from home and went out for a Dutch pancake dinner. The boys used the picture menu to figure out what to order. Miles did quite well ordering the "vitamin" pancake. We enjoyed our dinner on the barge.

This weekend was Jazzfest around Delft with 50 performers across several venues, so we decided to bike around and check out the various acts. While Jim made a detour to change out of shorts, Eliot and I enjoyed the Aces of Syncopation playing what I would call New Orleans Jazz, almost big band. It was great hanging out on Binnenwatersloot listening to music. I realized how much I miss live music - a bygone from my Austin days! We biked past a couple of other performers, but Eliot was so tired we decided to head home.
