We vowed to get our bikes finished on Saturday. We found out you can't just buy all the pieces and put them together because not all seats work with all bikes and bike bags. Deborah loaned us the front seat for Miles. Somehow, it worked best with both bike seats on my bike. Jim added a basket for carrying stuff and put the paniers on his bike. Finally, it was time for the inaugural ride for me with the two kids.
Next, we ventured to the C1000 grocery store. We needed bulky stuff - diapers, TP, paper towels. Miles fell asleep in the cart while we were shopping. We weren't sure how to get home with a sleeping Miles, Eliot and our groceries. We decided to do it the Dutch way and put Miles back in his bike seat. I held his head with one hand and pedaled us home, steering with the other hand. We made it somehow and Miles got his nap. What an adventure!
