Eliot's Travels

We have arrived. The boys got a surge of energy when they realized we were about to see Aunt Julie. They were so very happy to see AJ! We grabbed a porter with a large cart and headed to baggage to wait. Our bags were actually the first 7 off, but we had to wait another 15 minutes for the last one to come through. Miles had a giggle fit with Aunt Julie tickling his legs. We had a bit of luggage!

The porter took most bags to Julie's car, while Jim went to pick up the rental car. The rest of the bags were put on the curb with Julie and the boys. Once we were loaded up, we all drove to Julie's house.

First impressions: it was so brown and dry. We left in May when everything was in bloom. We are so used to seeing water everywhere in the canals, lakes, and the sea. It's weird to see no water. There was actually topography! It was great to see the mountains again.
