In the morning, it was time for more marble run with Grandpa's cool pieces. More marble messages down the tube and into boxes but this time they said "Happy Birthday Grandpa!" Today was John's birthday!
This afternoon, Grandpa and Miles napped. After his power nap, Grandpa took a long walk down the Buitenwatersloot to look for another one of his birthday presents. Or at least a boat he could wish for!! Eliot and Mary made a birthday cake while he was gone. There were not many choices for cake mixes, so I hoped the one I got was OK. Eliot decorated the cake with lots of rainbow sprinkles and 6 white candles and 3 blue candles. Eliot kept hoping Miles would wake up from his nap so we could get to the cake eating part. He finally did.

Grandpa is quite proud of his cake. Miles makes sure that he and his Baby Jaguar get a piece, so he sets a place for both!
Candles lit. Make a wish and 1-2-3 blow!
Success!
The cake was really yummy and we devoured it in less than 15 minutes. We played more before heading out to dinner at the one of the tapas restaurants in Delft. We had good food and enjoyed our view of the Maria van Jessekerk and street. Eliot noticed looking out the window that 3 different ambulances had stopped at the Daily Wok for food. We decided we might need to check it out later.

After dinner, I had set up a drinks night at Cafe Luna. Jim joined me and a few other friends, while John and Mary took the boys home. Since Grandma and Grandpa were still jet lagged, we decided to get home early (11:20) in case the boys were still up. Eliot had just fallen asleep, but Miles was waiting for mommy to come home.
