Grandma and Grandpa arrived today around 1 pm. Jim had a customer call that got postponed to 2:30, so the boys and I took the train to pick them up at the airport. Eliot noticed a new kind of train at the Delft station while waiting for the sneltrain. It was a Eurailscout inspection and analysis train. I liked the front of the train and the data line. We arrived at Schiphol around 1:40 pm and looked at the board to see where they would arrive after leaving customs. Their flight was not listed, so I called Jim to see if the website had any information. Someone behind us said "I think they arrive at gate 2." Grandpa! They had gotten in earlier than scheduled, and their bags were the first out. We all walked to get Mary, who was waiting at area 2 in case we appeared.

We went back to the station to catch a train to Leiden for a transfer. Given the 4 bags, we decided to go for the long connection time (rather than running down the platform). I hung out with the bags in the entrance of the carriage, while Mary, John and their grandsons sat on the upper deck. I could hear them giggling, squealing, and screeching with delight at having Grandma and Grandpa here. It was fun. On the second leg of our journey Miles fell asleep laying on the window. We got the apartment about 3:00.
