Today, we headed to Amsterdam to take a canal boat tour and walk around the city. Jim's colleague from India, Navid, joined us too. Miles and Eliot enjoyed the morning train ride. Miles says "Cheese" for the photo - nice!
Walking around the dam, we saw plenty of figures posing for photos (only if you paid). Mom tried to get into the picture with metallic Neptune but apparently you have to pay more than 50 eurocents for that. Clearly, they a system going. We decided against eating at the American Hot Dog stand, though Jim was quite tempted. Instead, we headed down to the sandwich shop by Nieuwe Kerk that we ate at before.
Miles eats his sandwich with Grammy as we make our way to the Amsterdam Historical Museum; we didn't go in but just enjoyed the orphanage courtyards and the Civic Guard Gallery. We also walked through the Begijnhof and around Spui square.
