Today we had a mission: to get rain gear for the boys. Given that autumn is here and the rain is coming (in fact it was raining hard this morning), we needed better gear for the bicycle rides to school. Eliot chose the duck rain suit since it was different than Miles' fireman, and "it would be easier to tell them apart." We also got Eliot a new bike helmet - Sponge Bob was the only one that fit properly. Ownership of his dinosaur one transferred to Miles (who was really happy about wearing it - HA). Jim felt with all the long bikes trips to school on rainy roads that it might be prudent to have helmets on the kids (I have seen only one other set of kids with helmets on their mom's bike in our whole time here). Eliot loves wearing his new helmet; and Miles follows anything Eliot does, so they both gladly wear them on the bike now.
We went home after getting cheese and flowers to wait out the rain. Later, we all went to the grocery store and Eliot rode his bike with his helmet. Fun stuff.
