Who would have known that Maastricht was so vogue with its incredible shopping district. Jim and I aren't really the type, but this would have suited my sister and mom beautifully. There were literally a hundred stores, many of them high-end shops for clothing and shoes. We started our walking tour about 10 am, just as all the shops were opening up. We saw the "boutique ladies" [as Jim called them] out washing their display windows at practically every other shop we passed. One shop had these cool dog statues tied out front to the building with real leashes. Are they waiting for their owners or keeping watch?
Needing to get your hair cut? We saw this interesting display of hairstyles in a salon on our walk.
