After lunch, we got our things and headed to the lake for some recreation! The beach scene at the lake was nice. It was warm that midday so it was nice to get into the water. The boys of course loved the sand and the cool water. Jim had bought Eliot a foatie ring. He enjoyed going in the water and floating where he could stand. He and grandpa played shark attack and had splashing fights. The ring helped his confidence in going out into the lake a bit. Grandma and Grandpa watched the boys while Jim and I swam to the center of the lake. It was so refreshing. After swimming a bit, Miles fell asleep. Several people walked by our umbrella with Miles sleeping under it and wondered where his family was. They looked around and around. Mary was just up the hill keeping tabs on him! As the storm cloud rolled in about 3:00, we packed up our towels and umbrellas and rode our bikes back to the bungalow.
We got back just in time to watch the end of the last time trials in the Tour de France and to see Landis essentially win the Tour. After naps and showers, we cooked a nice spaghetti dinner and hung out. This was really our first day to just hang out and I think Jim enjoyed not having any work to worry about.
Pictures are John's. I had taken pictures of everyone in the water and also of Miles in the sand. I got some cute ones earlier of the boys inside the play house.
