Eliot and Miles have been very into making marble runs and playing with the gears Eliot got for his birthday. This was quite a design that Eliot created with a ramp leading into each of the wooden clogs. Nice contrasts of the wooden toys and floor, colorful gears and black-and-white shoes.

Eliot helped me pack for our big trip tomorrow. He chose clothes for Miles and himself. He even packed them in the suitcase for me. It is hilarious to see what he packed - his and Miles cow clogs, every sock we brought to Holland (they have only worn socks here a few times because of the heat), only shirts and a bathing suit for Miles, the exact number of underwear I told him. To see how he packed it is even funnier. This is how I found the suitcase when I went to inspect the items. Check out the pajamas stuffed in the tiny pocket and the cords closed over his shirts. I think he spent about 30 minutes packing and adding in the diapers and wipes I asked him to get.

Grandpa reads to the boys while Jim and I finish packing for our mini vacation. Unfortunately, though I didn't know it, these were my last photos: my camera (my hobby and lifeline to some degree) was stolen on our last day of our long weekend with all my vacation pictures still in it. Big bummer. More on that later.
