We were able to salvage the day by going on out to the beach at Oosterschelde-Kering by the Delta Expo. The beach was beautiful sand - so fine, you can't imagine. It had a cafe and bathrooms (30 euro cents per person). You have to pay for all public toilets in Holland, and you can't use restrooms at stores - only in cafes where you are a customer. We looked a bit unusual in our clothes and no beach gear, but the boys had a great time. The Dutch really have the beach down - their umbrellas, sand toys, water boards, etc. Miles helped destroy Jim's drip castle, while Eliot dropped sand into the water.
