I took Eliot to school today in a light rain. The hardest part was trying to see with the rain hitting my eyes and face. I suppose that's why quite a few people hold an umbrella while biking (really, they do!). I got Miles dressed and we headed toward Gina's house. Today we met her and Merrick at the swimming pool for Teddybeer Zwemmen. Each weekday at 10:30, a teacher leads songs and play in the water for little ones. We kicked, splashed, and jumped in the water. The kids got to ride on a big raft in the pool and even jump off the boat into the water. We had a good time. The best song was the helicopter one where we lift the kids onto our shoulder and spin around. Miles exclaimed "again, good time." Miles and I left the pool and biked to pick up Eliot from school by noon.

At school today, Eliot drew a spider web with a blue spider. He and other children have been doing lots of different spider webs. His drawing skills have changed dramatically in the last 2 months of school. He brought home a fall picture he had made using leaves for printing with paint. It's a nice picture that had been hanging in the classroom until today. They started a new theme on Tuesday - Sinterklaas, of course.
