Since I hadn't yet been to the store, Jim ran out to get Chinese food for dinner. He took off for ultimate practice at 7:50. They have a tournament coming up this Sunday. Miles was quite proud of his "marble run" with the marbles inside the holes and wanted me to take his picture. Actually, he is quite good at making runs. He'll hold up a ramp and see what blocks he needs to make sure it runs downhill. Pretty creative.

While Jim was gone, the boys and I made a big, cool marble run with multiple entry points. Eliot requested 4 entry points, so that's what we did: 1) the start on the blue pillow 2) a turning block along the first sets of ramps 3) the plastic tube on the farthest side of the rectangle and 4) the musical staircase on the last leg. Our primary goal was to drop the marbles into a pan at the end. This way, each boy could put marbles into the run to their heart's content, without disturbing the other one. It worked great!

Sinterklaasjournaal
The Piets were hiding the red book from Sinterklaas because of the rainbow pages. They came up with an idea to address this problem. Hoofdpiet (head piet) asked all the kinderen to put their wishlish in their shoe, so they can pick it up. This way, Sinterklaas will know what you want (since the book is now empty).
