Before heading back home, we decided we had to check out the "mountains" of Holland. The highest point in Holland is at the
Drielandenpunt - the convergence point of Holland, Germany and Belgium. Here, the boys ran around a marker across all three countries. The boys and I are standing on the highest spot at a whopping 322.5 m (1000 ft above sea level). In the background you can see
a tower tourist trap - it would have been 20 euro ($26) for all of us to go up! There was also a playground, eetccafe, and a maze (with paid entrance). Having to drive 200 km yet today, we headed back to the car without partaking in the tourist attractions. We walked through a lovely natural area to get back to our car. We had missed the turn into the Drielandenpunt because it looked like a sidewalk. We should have known we could drive in there - we just aren't used to it yet.
