The family waiting for the final act of the night - a night parade with acrobats and musicians. There were several actors entertaining the crowd while we waited for the parade to begin at 10:30 pm. A stilt-walker goes by pretending to be drunk. A red-feathered bird acting a bit like a chicken came and looked curiously at Miles. He wasn't sure what to think about the woman. Across the canal "two white worms and a man saying funny things" [from Eliot] performed. There were even actors on the canal boat as it passed.
