Grandstands move out. The carnival is coming to town!!
The Markt was to be home to a rides carnival for the coming week. Fun stuff. I liked the Smurf drawing on the little-kids ride (this picture is for Carson!).

Today was supposed to be nice, so I suggested an impromptu playgroup meeting at the Beestenmarkt. Gina, Kasia, Lucie and their 4 kids joined us to play by the cow statue. We moved to a playground nearby when the kids got bored with the scenery. The playground was tucked off a street behind some houses - only Lucie knew about it. There are definitely a lot of hidden playgrounds in town. We timed it perfectly arriving just as a school group was leaving. About 40 minutes later, another school group of forty 9-year olds arrived in force, marking our time to leave.

After our visit, we went to the produce store and to Albert Heijn to stock our very empty refreigerator. AH seems to be starting a new campaign with a hamster as a mascot, so we picked up these cute hamster masks - gratis (free) - I asked this time!
