Snowy Thursday

With mom in town, I was able to bike Eliot to school without having to take Miles, which made our mornings easier. Gina and Merrick came over to play this morning. The snow started in the late morning. They decided to stay for lunch and started while I went out to get Eliot.

The snow was coming down pretty fast when I left, and we had nearly an inch in some places. Since bikes don't have windshields, I had quite a time trying to see through the snowflakes landing on my eyelashes. I made it to school safely. The kids were so excited to play in the snow out in front of the school. Lucien ended up being out all week because of the flu (or something similar) - cold, cough, fever, chills, lost voice. I was worried about him being out next week too - it was Eliot's last day of school.

The bike path was definitely covered in snow, but luckily it was just snow and we had lots of traction.

Gina and Merrick left soon after lunch. It was beautiful out with snow over the streets, buildings and even the trees. Mom and I intended to go to our last Thursday market day. Given the weather, we decided to stay home. I got 2 bags packed for our move back to the US. There was still lots to do.
