Day 3 in Brugge

We followed the LP walking tour into the St. Anna Quarter of Brugge, named for the Sint Annakerk from the 15th century. Eliot and I stopped to pick up more "horse chestnuts," better-known as buckeyes to us mid-westerners. Our first highlight was lunch at Herberg Vlissinghe - Bruges' oldest cafe. Someone has been pouring beer here since 1515. Mind-blowing really. That's exacly what I ordered - a nice Bruin Leffe. Miles continued his sleeping tour of Europe. Eliot enjoyed his typical Fanta and found walnuts in the garden. Luckily, we were protected by an umbrella because the wind was throwing the walnuts down onto the gorund. This cafe had a nice atmosphere and garden, including a petanque court out in the garden.
