In the morning we also enjoyed checking out the
Chancellary - Brugse Vrije. Eliot joined me to take a look at the gorgeous
16th- century fireplace inside the Renaissance

Chamber. The mantel was made of wood, alabaster, and marble. The museum had a nice audio guide (Brugge is very touristy) explaining that the carvings were a tribute to Charles V.

While Jim took his turn,
the boys stayed busy putting rocks into the stroller's wheels. I tried to soak up the sun rays enjoying the brief respite from clouds. We saw this
classy bridal car, awaiting its wedding party outside the Stadhuis. The boys chased each other around this
romantic bronze statue.
