Gent, Belgium
The first thing we saw upon arriving in Gent (Ghent in English) was the House of Eliott restaurant. That seemed like a good omen for the visit. We decided to take a boat tour to get our bearings and learn some history. We saw the canal-side of the restaurant and their beautiful mermaid! The boys had to bundle up for the cool ride. Gravensteen (castle) looked big and powerful from the water.
