Scheveningen
The wind was cold, but the boys still managed to have a great time making "cakes" and building sand castles. We found lots of shells and teeny tiny sand dollars (smaller than a dime). The beach isn't groomed in the winter (see the big sand cliff behind Grammy) and all of the restaurants and beach gear are put away, so the beach looks very different. There were more people out today than when we came with Aunt Julie in September.
We ate lunch at a pannekoeken restaurant and then played a short time longer on the beach. Instead of subjecting Grammy to a long tram ride, we rode the tram to the Hollandspoor (HS) train station and took a train back to Delft. Hopefully, mom's sickness was just due to the coffee and jetlag.
