We were a bit of a mess. Dad ended up going to the doctor in Pagosa and found out he had a mild pneumonia. Since his hand surgery was a week away, it was good that he got on antibiotics right away. Mom tried a heating pad to relieve pain she had in her chest. Julie ended up taking her to the ER, just a mile from her house. Julie's doctor office was 10 miles away and closed because of the snow. She found out she had an infection and also started antibiotics. While they were out, Julie and mom picked up some new snow boots for Eliot. Miles are packed away somewhere.

Eliot gave his new boots a try that night out in the yard. He loved making new tracks and just feeling the snow. All the snow on the bench is from the second storm, as Julie had cleared it off after the first storm. The snow was to end this evening. The storm had continued more south and east of Denver. Luckily, we had not gone to Albuquerque (to fly out of there) since they got 15" of snow or to Amarillo which was blanketed in ice and then snow. The eastern plains got another 3-4 feet of snow.
