The weather was really nice all week - cool and mostly sunny. The sunrise is creeping later and later into the morning. We caught this
sunrise picture on the way to school. 5 minutes earlier, as we were leaving the apartment, it was more pink and peach. When we got to school, the 3 oldest boys came out to greet Eliot. Lucien said that they are rough and tumblers, but with Eliot they are gentle and protective of him. Jason came and gave him a big hug and a kiss. Then another and then one of the other boys pushed and hit Jason because he wanted to give Eliot a hug. Jason said that he was first. In English, I told them not to fight over our Eliot. Pretty silly boys. On my way home, I took another
sunrise picture at 8:35 with the Avontuur sailing ship in the foreground.
Miles and I went out shopping for bread and a gift. We also went by the C1000 to buy some goodies to take home at Christmas. Miles fell asleep in the stroller so he stayed home with Jim, and I went to pick up Eliot. We saw
two green parrots fly past and land on in this apple tree along the bike path. I noticed a few days ago that this confused tree has started to bloom. Perhaps the tree thinks it is spring. It has been a record warm autumn for Holland. 1.5 degrees (C) warmer than last year's record breaking temperatures. The hottest autumn in 300 years, hmmm - global warming at work.
